Brentwood, California

Brentwood is a trendy upscale neighborhood on the Westside that began as a Mexican grant land. The town is bounded by Bel-Air to the east, Mandeville Canyon to the west. Molholland drive to the north and Wilshire Boulevard to the south.

With a population of about 250,000, the quiet, quaint town is one of the most expensive places in LA. It is home to several tourist attractions like;

The elegant Getty Center Museum which offers a wide collection of world class art – contemporary and classic art – a beautiful sculpture garden and an expansive view of the city (be sure to skip the tram ride and walk through the garden),

The Brentwood Art Society which sponsors events like the annual art, wine and Jazz Festival, The Artists Open Studio Tour, Open mic Nights and other gatherings. The Art Society is also a major supporter of the Brentwood Theater Company which has produced several Broadway musicals and musical reviews in venues around the city since 2010.

The Skirball Cultural Center; an educational institution which brags of a museum and a library amongst others. It is dedicated to teaching and preserving the Jewish heritage and American democratic ideals.

Bristol Farms

The main artery, San Vicente Boulevard, features classy Italian restaurants like Toscanab, II Piccolo VerdeRisrorante Peppone and warm cafes such as Café LuxxeCoral Tree CaféAlfred Cafe, plus the historic Brentwood County Mart, a major food and shopping center.

While several of its local streets bear British names; after British regions like Bristol, Barrington, Brentwood has no relations with Brentwood England. With its tree-lined streets with well-tended homes in a range of architectural styles that stretch up into the hills and homely styles, Brentwood is indeed one of the best places to live.
