Playa Vista, California

Playa Vista is a neighborhood of Los Angeles located in the Westside region, just south of Marina del Rey and northwest of Loyola Marymount University. The Pacific Ocean borders it to the west, Ballona Creek to the east, and Del Rey Hills to the north. It was initially part of an extensive marshland known as “Ballona Wetlands,” which has since been developed into an urban community filled with shopping strips, condos, parks, golf courses, and much more!

Residents here enjoy easy access to many entertainment options, including movie theaters, bowling alleys, and music venues like The Forum in Inglewood or The Wiltern Theatre in Koreatown. There are also plenty of outdoor activities to take advantage of, such as biking or running along the Ballona Creek bike path and surfing in the Pacific. The neighborhood also has several tech companies, including Google and YouTube’s Los Angeles office.

Playa Vista is an excellent place for families due to its safe streets and many parks that provide plenty of space for children to play. The community has its school system called Playa Vista Elementary School, which serves kindergarten through fifth-grade students with excellent teachers and curriculum. Playa Vista has several amenities for those living in the area, including several restaurants and cafes, two grocery stores, a post office, and banks. The neighborhood also boasts an extensive shopping mall with over 50 retail outlets and an outdoor farmers market every Sunday morning.
