The Boardwalk offers funky shops and street performers, while Muscle Beach is a popular outdoor gym. Stylish boutiques line Abbot Kinney Boulevard, and canals are surrounded by modernist homes. When visiting Venice, be sure to pay a visit to the old-school Pavilion, which was the nexus of skate and surf culture in the 1980s and 1990s. You can also take in a concert at the historic Sunset Theatre. The Sunset Strip is also a must-see. The Pier is an essential stop for all beachgoers. A day trip to Venice will take you around an hour, and if you have time, make sure to take in the vibrant local art scene.

If you’re looking for an affordable hotel or hostel, Venice is the place for you. Several hostels are located in the area, while a few hotels and motels are nearby. The boardwalk, or Ocean Front Walk, is the most famous tourist attraction in the region. The Santa Monica beach is also a great option for a romantic dinner. Just be aware that the street is crowded, and that there are homeless people sleeping on the streets.
